Awesome Evening with Awesome Walkers

Awesome walkers - conversation with Samir Geepee

I came to know about Awesome walkers through TM Vinod Mettamel, President of TAEGUS Toastmasters Club where Malavika Rajesh, aged 14 has been chosen as a featured guest. Knowing about her work little bit and seen previously in TAEGUS anniversery event, I was interested to listen to her talk along with my husband and kid and surprisingly he also agreed to come.
As always I like to experience new things, the event flyer looked interesting and so made me to know more about what and how it is happening which drove me to go and check directly in.
It was a very casual and friendly environment, most of them seemed regular to that place and the evening gets started by the oragnizer summing it up for the new comers about what awesome walkers is.
Every week 2 awesome walkers been chosen for the conversation and this week it is Sid and Malavika.

Siddharth Vohra – Radio Presenter at City 1016, Dubai
I didn’t know anything about Sid before I went there and that was fair enough for anybody who attends it. He is in flow while he speaks, I loved his way of conversing, and he is a RJ though; later came to know he is a TEDx speaker too.
After each guest conversation, a question was put to the participants about the insights we get through that guest walk-through of life.
One thing I felt inside while Sid was sharing his experience was feeling fulfilled by turning his passion into work and no looking back or second thought no matter how tough life has taken him through.
  • Moving From his mechanical engineering to RJ work
  • Before marrying his love of life, when his in-laws asked, "you are a RJ; that's fine but what is your ACTUAL job??" ;)   – Most of the marriages I heard or at least have seen looking for a decent amount of earning before marriage, so either the guy wait till he finds some good job or that proposal breaks out. However Sid was very much strong enough to convey his side to his in-laws and living happily for years being RJ after marriage. He likes to live as a very simple and humble person.
Another thought from his talks was how children get stick to indoors, lack of getting fresh air and how their body accustomed because of that. So when they go out rarely to beach or play to the fullest they get sick soon.  And how he felt, when his wife wanted their child to get immunity booster. “Come on, the actual immunity the kids gets is by exposed to outside air and play, walking for few minutes.” Laughter in the crowd and accepting the fact :)
Yeah, as a mom, I shall truly believe in his words and understand what he is concerned about. This is a real need of hour in today generation of kids. He made the whole group happening with positive vibes and enthusiasm.

Malavika Rajesh - Author at the age of 14
This girl took the show with the way she walked in and started with the conversation. She is very confident, fear-free, and humble and ever smiling young activist who has many things in her mind to do in her life.
One such is to become a renowned writer, she is already a writer though, author of 2 books, blogger – maintaining her own blog with her poems, stories, novels - https://malavikarajesh.wordpress.com.
She wants to become a journalist and believes the fact that pen is mightier than the sword.
Below is the part of the conversation and how she glowed up into writing.
She is blessed with her supporting parents; they are her pillars of strength. Her parents were there on the show and with their answers I could realize how properly she was brought up in their hands. As a mom, I learnt more from her mother who is like her best friend and allows her to share anything with her.

Samir Geepee – A very humble and polite person, a personal and transformational coach, and keynote speaker runs this program every week by identifying people who walk their talk, who create a difference in communities that we live in by doing what they do, and doing it with a huge scoop of awesomeness.
Keep doing this wonderful work and wish you transform more and more lives through your 100 days transformation.
