Intuition /

#jSreeSpeaks

13th September, Tuesday - Another day with intuition.

7am - Very high Pressure came from the sides of the cooker with a big sound. I thought it busted; got shocked and shouted a bit.

I am standing in front of the stove and my husband came in to take tea. As he was there in the kitchen, he quickly helped me.

After a while – “Why are you shouting like this?” he asked me.

Ah, I just released my fear of cooker bust – Isn’t it natural to feel and release our emotions at times. Isn’t it common? That is how our system is! – I said. you are a person keeping everything inside not showing out. I can’t be like that! – I added.

Morning cooking time and his office time, we started this discussion.

he went to get ready. But my heartbeat was still high, and I am sensing tightness in my chest.

When my maid who was cleaning other rooms came to the kitchen because of the sound, asked me - I was telling her what happened and was also sharing about the risks of a pressure cooker as my family in India has some past bad experiences.

That talk took us to share more about my childhood experiences with fire burns on my leg, hot milk spilled on my feet, early surgeries, and the effect of seeing my ground floor girl in quarters burned herself, etc.

When I relate those incidents bringing those memories today, I notice my chest is getting tightened more as I was reliving those emotions again. Not for good.

Another side of my thought - what am I feeling now? why today? how did I start the day with? Last night I did not have good deep sleep because my son was not well. So, morning little disturbed. Additionally, the cooker incident. A little dangerous one. I know that is not in my hand.

Still, those running emotions didn’t stop. But I am aware of it, and I am witnessing it. Planned to go to the doctor for my son but got a call that it got postponed to the evening. So, I planned to start my office work as usual. Lately realized since the last 12 hours I didn’t take my phone. Don’t know where it is. Oops! 10am already. Time for work!

Sat in my office and then took my phone (As I work from home). 3 missed calls. 1 from my son's school to know his status maybe, 2 from my elder sister in India.

Usually morning time, I don’t get calls from family members. That too from my sister 2 calls continuously.  Called her back but she did not attend. Sometimes this happens. I just call her later. But today that tightened chest is not telling me any good. Suddenly I thought let's call mom and check.

That high emotion is telling me inside that something is not good but same time, I want all to be good. My mom took the phone and greeted me. I calmed down a bit to hear her voice stable. Then she added, so sister told the news? Keeping my prayers tight --- I said no, and she tried calling me. What happened?

Hmm. Her father-in-law... Oh no! I understood!!

That 88-year-old man had been in all talks for a month because he fell and had to undergo surgery. But all went fine and recovering well. So, what happened suddenly? Last night this happened at their home it seems.

No, somehow, I did not want this to happen. I wanted to see him in a few months when I go to India. There is no more next time!!

Vedagiriesan, 80 years old - such a healthy person - no sugar, BP, no other health issues, no bad habits, always been an independent person in his old age and that’s what he liked. Last month he fell on the road when he went to the bank on his own. So, he had to undergo surgery. But all fine later. He recovered for good and started doing things by himself which he always likes and does.

Night suddenly pulse goes down, an ambulance came, and they helped but in vain. No hassle. No cries. Calmly at home left the world after taking bath by himself and changing his dress. The way how he wanted it maybe. He wanted to hold Chelli Amman's photo at his last moment. Such a peaceful death.

(My sister told me the above when I spoke to her later)

He is an inspiration for many people in that area - from young to old. He moves every day and never stopped.

I still remember him always giving me a god's photo and a small amount of money and blessing me. To everyone who comes to his home or when he goes somewhere. That's his usual routine. He had told me once I like the way you are praying sincerely in the temple - When we all went to the temple for an occasion. He doesn’t eat meat for 30 years, not even egg. He wanted it that way. I see the sincerity in him, a disciple in him, consistency in him, and most importantly confidence, and boldness never stopped due to age.

Studied BE at Guindy Engineering college. Retired as a Chief Engineer from TNEB and peacefully, happily, enjoyed his retirement years.

“It is not about living long but healthy living that matters. He lived as an example. “

Few people's death will disturb us like His’ death. I had admired him in many areas in these 14 years.

In my holistic journey which I started 8-10 years ago, there are few people whom I take as an inspiration – He is one among them for the way he lived his healthy retired life in all walks.

My sincere and Deepest Condolences and tribute to him with huge respect!

Now, I can relate to those emotions I am having since morning. This is another intuitive day from the last time I started to notice, being aware of understanding my intuitive feelings.

The first time was on January 18th, 2022 - The day when my father-in-law expired. I will share in the next post - (Still in editing)

Early Morning Learnings - How to win friends and influence people by Dale Carnigie

I am sitting in a learning group early morning 5.30am Dubai, along with like-minded learners.

A Young committed chap from Singapore is sharing his review on the book “How to win friends and influence people” by Dale Carnigie – One of the most best-selling author and book – 1936.

Like how the book name is so interesting, same interest starts from his very first slide.

What is life?

The whole book is about how to handle people, how to win people, how to change people without giving offense. It is a must read if you are student, professional or a leader.

The author Carnegie's main focus is on interpersonal skills, effective communication and being a successful salesperson.

He is very well known for his other famous book – “Stop worrying and Start Living”.

He is so successful in training people as  public speakers, and he was loving that work.

In this How to win people book, he talks about below topics in detail:

- Fundamental techniques in handling people:

- 6 Ways to make people like you

      - How to win people to your way of thinking

      - How to change people without giving offense or Arousing resentment

Credit – Mario, presenter of the book review.

In Today's world, I can see how much this book has been influenced and how many theories had been revolved around this basic concepts.

This has been used majorly for Communication excellence and building relationships.

Some of his famous books are :

-     - Art of Public Speaking

      - Stop Worrying and Start Living

      - The Quick and Easy way to Effective Speaking

      - Lincoln The Unkown

There is no doubt that he has placed a huge mark in this modern world of theories. IF he has been living now, he would be happy to see that his words are living now as great tools of excellence.

I found this book very useful and interesting to see how the author had foreseen the current situation which is such a boon with leaders i.e. Relationship management and servant leadership method.

What do you think about this book? Read the book and share your reviews here.

Alex in Dubai

What a show! It’s been long time since I laughed continuously non-stop for 2 hours.
One man with multiple personalities - musician, stand up comedian, performing artist and still a humble, simple and down to earth person. -

May be it’s been 2 years I started knowing about his shows through social media. As an admirer, I loved each and every aspect of his skills by seeing his stand up comedy videos, knowing how he takes his passion and interest further than what he was doing before.
As most of us and me being one who had done engineering first and then find and still work towards what gives us happy and satisfying path, he also went through that. In very less time I found something unique in him. But I had never seen his shows live and I was waiting for a chance.

Four months back, when I decided to model particular skill for my work, with no doubt he came to my mind. I tried reaching him; immediately he responded and helped me right back in his busy schedule with what he could. I was so much pleased by his simplicity and humbleness.
Later, thanks to his very early information regarding his Alex in Wonderland show in Dubai; that was a great surprise and because of which I had an opportunity to watch his show live today. Thanks to him!

Live show was an awesome experience! Laughter to the core! What an energetic performance?!! He is a great musician and what a throw in his voice? In this modern world, still there is a person who can entertain us through harmonium and other simple musical instruments?!
And I think music is just like breathe inside him!
Comedy without performance, performance without singing, singing without performance – I don’t think these are separable from him!
He brings out variety in music, variety in singing voice, mimic voice, performing artist everything. He is a package. Look for messages too!

It’s been some time in recent days I had interacted with people with such a clear Tamil pronunciation.

Yesterday when I was unwell, I was little sad that I could miss his show and meeting him in Dubai. But then I always believe – 'what we think what we become' and 'As our mind, our body is', I was feeling better today morning and by afternoon I was even better to move out. And I know if I could go there, then I will come out well as I always believe laughter as a great medicine without which many illness lies within body and mind.
When he recognized me today after the show with our previous conversations, gratefulness is what he showed up back.

Happy Teachers Day!

There must be at least three teachers in your life who take the credits of you being the best way you are now! For some the list would be big. Starting from school, college, workplace, family, and friends and from people you meet for reasons.

How about recollecting them all today and show our gratitude for what we are now?

And how many teachers have carved you so far?

Awesome Evening with Awesome Walkers

Awesome walkers - conversation with Samir Geepee

I came to know about Awesome walkers through TM Vinod Mettamel, President of TAEGUS Toastmasters Club where Malavika Rajesh, aged 14 has been chosen as a featured guest. Knowing about her work little bit and seen previously in TAEGUS anniversery event, I was interested to listen to her talk along with my husband and kid and surprisingly he also agreed to come.
As always I like to experience new things, the event flyer looked interesting and so made me to know more about what and how it is happening which drove me to go and check directly in.
It was a very casual and friendly environment, most of them seemed regular to that place and the evening gets started by the oragnizer summing it up for the new comers about what awesome walkers is.
Every week 2 awesome walkers been chosen for the conversation and this week it is Sid and Malavika.

Siddharth Vohra – Radio Presenter at City 1016, Dubai
I didn’t know anything about Sid before I went there and that was fair enough for anybody who attends it. He is in flow while he speaks, I loved his way of conversing, and he is a RJ though; later came to know he is a TEDx speaker too.
After each guest conversation, a question was put to the participants about the insights we get through that guest walk-through of life.
One thing I felt inside while Sid was sharing his experience was feeling fulfilled by turning his passion into work and no looking back or second thought no matter how tough life has taken him through.
  • Moving From his mechanical engineering to RJ work
  • Before marrying his love of life, when his in-laws asked, "you are a RJ; that's fine but what is your ACTUAL job??" ;)   – Most of the marriages I heard or at least have seen looking for a decent amount of earning before marriage, so either the guy wait till he finds some good job or that proposal breaks out. However Sid was very much strong enough to convey his side to his in-laws and living happily for years being RJ after marriage. He likes to live as a very simple and humble person.
Another thought from his talks was how children get stick to indoors, lack of getting fresh air and how their body accustomed because of that. So when they go out rarely to beach or play to the fullest they get sick soon.  And how he felt, when his wife wanted their child to get immunity booster. “Come on, the actual immunity the kids gets is by exposed to outside air and play, walking for few minutes.” Laughter in the crowd and accepting the fact :)
Yeah, as a mom, I shall truly believe in his words and understand what he is concerned about. This is a real need of hour in today generation of kids. He made the whole group happening with positive vibes and enthusiasm.

Malavika Rajesh - Author at the age of 14
This girl took the show with the way she walked in and started with the conversation. She is very confident, fear-free, and humble and ever smiling young activist who has many things in her mind to do in her life.
One such is to become a renowned writer, she is already a writer though, author of 2 books, blogger – maintaining her own blog with her poems, stories, novels - https://malavikarajesh.wordpress.com.
She wants to become a journalist and believes the fact that pen is mightier than the sword.
Below is the part of the conversation and how she glowed up into writing.
She is blessed with her supporting parents; they are her pillars of strength. Her parents were there on the show and with their answers I could realize how properly she was brought up in their hands. As a mom, I learnt more from her mother who is like her best friend and allows her to share anything with her.

Samir Geepee – A very humble and polite person, a personal and transformational coach, and keynote speaker runs this program every week by identifying people who walk their talk, who create a difference in communities that we live in by doing what they do, and doing it with a huge scoop of awesomeness.
Keep doing this wonderful work and wish you transform more and more lives through your 100 days transformation.

Perceived reality

Yesterday was my first experience with Toastmasters club. It was a very healthy club in JLT and all the members are really awesome in their roles and there was always lesson learnt from everyone by everyone.

After the actual speakers session ends, There was a session called Table topics where in few spontaneous questions were asked with the participants who wanted to give a try. I also wanted to give a try when the guests were given an opportunity by the Table topic organizer.

The question asked to me was, “What would I have been if NLP was not introduced to me?”!!! (If I remember the words correctly which he used)
Do you see me exclaiming at the end of the question? :) Because that’s how I felt when I was asked about myself. Firstly, I was thinking how this guy even knows about me?? Then realized that he was actively listening to our entire guest’s intro speech(we were more than 13) and he had noted down everyone’s what they do and what they want to improve. So I was little surprised.

Secondly I started feeling little uncomfortable with that question because of my past where I usually don’t want to think much about it after I learnt to handle those situations positively. So when I was to give out the speech, my heart beat was literally high, I started finding words, started thinking whether I had to show that emotional state and express it to the club, and so on… and so it took
some time to think and frame the content, and to specify there was a timer sitting in front of me. :)

With all that happened inside me and in front of me, I started it very confidently, was talking about my past and current career mostly specifying the change it gave me, pointing out the most common issues happen in the corporate industry, and how I am feeling fulfilled with what I do now helping people and how I discovered myself and what all I learnt through NLP, and when the timer was showing red for the end note, I started repeating few points and finished it with the answer of, I would have been a PM in a corporate industry. Lol (Not sure if that was the case exactly) #circle of excellence

What? I would have been a PM?? Is that what NLP just gave me?? No.

Just after finishing the speech, my mind was filled with lots of self talks.
  • I felt this was not the one I wanted to answer to that question and it’s not that which what I wanted to convey!
  • Speaking to my coachee one on one and helping them achieve what they really want is easier because of the passion and interest I have in that work, than addressing a group of audience. :)
  • Is that right that I pointed out the few common issues about the corporate industry when most of the people sitting in front of me are working in corporate? What would the people working there at high positions think of me? Do they really agree with what I have said or do they think I was very straight to the point?
  • What would I do to talk naturally and How better I would have ended the speech with that emotional background related to that question which was running in my mind?
  • Finally, I said to myself, dear members, no this was not the one I have it in mind to answer that question. I was talking in very serious note whereas it would have better if I just talked naturally with what was there in mind. And wait, I am coming with betterment in my next speeches.
After the end of the meeting, I was still in the same mindset and so I couldn’t give sendoff note to the people whom I wanted to say, I was carrying those self-talks with me till I slept.

Today as soon as I got up, those thoughts were still with me, I washed my face where those thoughts are seen clearly but couldn’t wash it from inside. When my husband asked me about what I am going through – I started telling him about what had happened, how better I would have been, how seriously I delivered the speech actually not embarking any emotion to the audience, and on and on…

And my husband while helping me in the kitchen smiled and said, just relax. You know how to handle this; you are helping people having these states of mind. And he also gave his point of view,“Everybody is not perfect every time and in everything, it’s been many years you faced larger audience and this was just a first meeting for you after long time in front of new audience; you went there to improve yourself, to learn to be a better communicator in the forum and you started first step towards it. And regarding what others think about the corporate industry talks, you just talked what you had in mind and nobody is going to think badly about it; it is offence only to talk about politics and religion.“

That gave me little calmness in mind and I realized my potential back. Oh yeah, what’s there to think too much on this? I just brought back my resource state as quick as I do every time when I notice it and all in place from there on. With this state, I ask all those questions again and I get the answers for it and moved to the desired state.

Whatsoever techniques we learn and practice, when something new and first time things come in to our life, I understood how the thoughts just washes out all the mind control and keeps feeding to the self talks and negative feedback. :) #States of mind

I am learning about myself exploring in different areas which makes me to practice consistently for myself what I teach others to do ;)

What do you have in mind by reading this post? Do you also have same kind of experience? How do you manage your state to bring it back to yourself? Share your thoughts here and I would love to hear and help you.
